Update on Ashley June 10th

Good Afternoon, just a quick update today. Ashley has been doing very well. All vitals have been excellent and her sodium is looking good. They will continue to monitor these but her body is regulating more and more which is awesome.

Today is the day we head down to inpatient rehab!! It won’t be until later this afternoon so we won’t start the full PT sessions until tomorrow. They are going to keep us very busy. 🙂

Many of you have asked whether or not the kids have been able to see her and the answer is yes. They have had a chance to come in and visit with her a few times over the past week. It has been very good for the kids and for Ashley. Our family has also done a phenomenal job of helping us keep our end of school / summer schedule for the kids. God has been lifting us up through all of this… one of the ways He’s done that is by blessing us with amazing family, church family and friends.

I can’t wait to give you more details on Ashley’s progress…. she’s speaking more every day. Her vocal cords are also getting stronger. The more she can communicate, the more my heart aches to have full conversations with her. Soon and very soon in Jesus’ name!

Oh, one more thing. We’ve been praying for God’s favor with nurses and doctors. I want you to know that those prayers have been answered in full. All nurses and doctors have been amazing and many have taken a personal interest in Ashley’s recovery. A few of the CCU nurses even came down to advanced care to see how Ashley was doing. 🙂

Ok…. For those praying in faith filled agreement with us… here’s what we’re standing for next.

  • An outstanding team of physical, occupational and speech therapists to help as Ashley walks out her complete healing in rehab.
  • Physical and mental strength for the rehab journey
  • Emotional strength as Ashley regains her ability to communicate clearly

Let all that I am praise the Lord;
    may I never forget the good things he does for me.
He forgives all my sins
    and heals all my diseases.
He redeems me from death
    and crowns me with love and tender mercies.
He fills my life with good things.
    My youth is renewed like the eagle’s!
Psalm 103:2-5
