Living Word Family Church held our first worship service on January 4, 1981 in the former High School building in Ogden, IL. (We were Living Word Fellowship then.)
In October of 1989, we moved into our current building in St. Joseph, and then expanded our facility in 2003. In addition to adding several classrooms, the new educational wing includes a 4,000 square foot, state of the art Youth and Activity Center, complete with a snack bar and a full kitchen.
Our vision has always been to minister to people of all ages, and in 2010 we officially changed our name to “Living Word Family Church”. This helps convey who we are; a church family made up of people of all ages and from all stations in life.
Our mission is to teach and train the church members to grow up in Christ, take their place in the work of the ministry, and to live a life of faith.
