Living The Gospel Preaching the Gospel

Ashley Crider May 29th p2

Good evening! Surgery went very well today. The surgeon replaced the skull portion and everything went very smoothly. They ended up putting in the internal shunt but that also went very well. The EVD (ventricle drain) was also removed which means we’re very close to being “bumped down” out of the Critical Care Unit. Once that happens we’ll forge ahead with physical and speech therapy. Just as we have over the past few weeks, we’ll continue to stand in faith for full recovery and complete restoration of everything the enemy tried to take from Ashley and our family.

We serve a big, big God. Through the sacrifice of Christ, we’ve been adopted into a covenant relationship with our Heavenly Father. As a result of that relationship, we have access to all of His incredible promises. The same God who breathed life into Adam and Eve, the same God who raised Lazarus from the dead… the same God who raised Christ Jesus. This is the way making God in whom we place our faith and trust. Bringing to life damaged tissue is nothing… causing those connections in the brain to be repaired… simple. We see the progress that has been made and we stand in awe. God says… I’ve only just begun.

We’re standing and believing for
– a quick healing/recovery from surgery today
– no rejection or issue with the shunt
– a good night’s rest

So you have NOT received a spirit that makes you fearful slaves. Instead, you received God’s Spirit when He adopted you as his own children. Now we call Him, “Abba, Father.” For his Spirit joins with our spirit to affirm that we are God’s children. And since we are His children, we are His heirs. In fact, together with Christ we are heirs of God’s glory. But if we are to share his glory, we must also share his suffering.
Romans 8:15-17
