Our Staff

Mike has attended Living Word with his wife since its inception in 1981. From the beginning he has served in the ministry of helps. In 1984 Mike knew he had the call of God on his life to preach the gospel and was ordained by Pastor Larry Millis in 1992. Pastor Mike has studied the Word extensively and loves to share the Word, preaching and exhorting the congregation. His duties also include hospital and shut in visitation, counseling, teaching various adult classes and overseeing the physical facility of the church.

A native of Champaign, Illinois, Mike and his wife have two daughters and five grandchildren, who also attend Living Word.

Matt began attending Living Word in 1999 and has been a part of our youth ministry ever since. He became a volunteer youth leader in the Fall of 2001 was brought on staff as the Youth Director in February of 2009. He and his wife, along with volunteer leaders, organize the youth ministry of Living Word and work to encourage teens and help them grow in their relationship with Christ.

A native of St. Joseph, Matt and his wife Ashley graduated from St. Joseph-Ogden High School and attended Parkland College. Matt is currently studying through The Rhema Bible College Correspondence School. Matt and Ashley have three children.
